Hi all, just after some advice. 7+1 weeks and started some very light pink/brown spotting when wipe. Never had this before. Also, usually I am really sick in pregnancy and I've not got any of those symptoms, very limited symptoms tbh. Is it likely this is a miscarriage and how will I know? Will it just get worse over the day/s? 😭 X

Hia, although I can’t answer your question, I did get spotting from 6-7 weeks (now 12 weeks) I spotted for maybe 2 days, stopped, 2 days again then stopped and then a 3rd time, freaked me out and terrified me. Had a scan at 7 weeks (ivf so standard scan appt) and all was fine, no idea where the bleed came from.
its a horrible waiting game to see if it does get worse I’m sorry your going through it- could you go for early scan?

Thanks so much for your reply. I havnt been to EPU but I guess I can do. Just it's so different to any previous pregnancy I can't help thinking the worst x

So natural to fear the worst, but every pregnancy is different (I know it’s a cliche) if a scan eases your mind then defo go, if you’d rather wait and see- do that- whatever is best for you and your anxiety 💕

Hi OP. I just had a miscarriage, however I actually knew my baby had died before it started because of an early private scan.
Obviously every pregnancy is different and the best thing would be to ring the EPU to get them to scan you. With my miscarriage I started to spot brown blood for two days and it steadily turned pink, then red then got heavier until it was actively miscarrying when it was very heavy and painful. Even though the scan was horrendous and devastating, knowing in advance of the physical side meant I was prepared for it. I do think if I’d had no idea it was coming it would have been even worse. I would go for a scan as either you’ll be prepared or you’ll get good news and it won’t be anything to worry about!!

I had this at 6 weeks, was all fine. When i did have MC before, it progressed to heavy bleeding within a day. But you could try the EPU, in our area you have to get referred by GP or midwife.
