5 week scan with twins

Hi twin mums and new mums! Hope you are doing well

I got my scan at what I thought was 6 weeks 3 days but it turnt out I was actually 5 weeks+ with identical twins which was a complete shock to me and my OH!

Just wondering if anyone has ever had a scan at this stage and can assure me this looks normal for this stage of pregnancy the sonographer seemed really happy about it but I can't help but worry xx

You’ve got two yolk sacs there and then each will have a very tiny fetal pole, maybe just 2mm each. All looks good at this stage. If you wait until 8 weeks you should be able to see heartbeats 😊

Congratulations! Yes it looks good. I saw heartbeats with my id twins at 7 weeks.

I went at 6 weeks and there were 2 heartbeats. They did say when you return at 12 weeks there's a high chance there will only be one but there were 2 babies at 12 weeks. All was fine.

Congratulations by the way they are totally amazing. I've loved having twins !

Aw Iknow that's vanishing twin syndrome isn't it? Am glad everything was okay, I'm excited and nervous at the same time for the twins and to see them on a scan again double the worry now!

Hi my love! Congratulations!!!!!! I went for a 6 week scan on Thursday and I also found twins! non identical though! Saw two strong heartbeats. Wow what a happy scary shock! 😍🤣❤️

How amazing! Congratulations! I can't wait to get another scan and see the heartbeats, me and OH didn't see any at our 5 week + but they did assure us it was normal to see what we saw at that stage xxx
