Concepto NIPT test - any experiences?

I’m looking to get a nipt blood test in London and don’t want a scan to go with it (I’ve already had 3 early scans and don’t want another before my 12 week scan). The only company I can find that does NIPT without a scan in London is Concepto. Wondering if anyone has done this test with them and would recommend? Just the website seems a bit odd and there’s no phone number!
Or if anyone can recommend a place - ideally North or Central London - that does blood test only NIPT then please let me know?

How recent was your latest scan? They use it for dating because if you aren't more than 10 weeks, there won't be enough of babies circulating DNA to detect it. I'm afraid I've never heard of that company. Have you checked reviews for them? VERY odd that there isn't a phone number IMO!

I'd also check what their process is, if the awful happens and the results aren't good? I've read of some people getting a text advising of the results and telling them to find an abortion clinic themselves if they chose to! I had bad results with my 1st pregnancy, and was glad my clinic had booked me the next day for a more detailed scan, then referred me to the hospital. Best of luck.

Yes, I had mine with them earlier this year and a few others on here did too at the same time. They took three working days to process the test and send me the results. I had to have a scan beforehand to check the pregnancy was still ongoing and to check dates. I’d happily use them again.

@AnnieStar12 Annie, just to add that Window to the Womb do NIPT either with or without scans. They have a number of clinics across the London region (I'm going to the Chessington one on Thursday for mine). Reputable company and very easy to get hold of - I've already had two scans with them and they seem very good and responsive. Maybe an alternative to consider?

@UrbanSquirrel thanks, I did speak to them but no local clinics do the nipT sadly. There’s one just near where I live so it’s a shame.

@JC03745 so sorry you got bad results in your pregnancy, that must have been really hard. I’ve had my most recent scan just last week and it’s an ivf pregnancy so dating is exact.

Window to the Womb Reading do this testing (no scan), it's cheaper than Concepto and window to the womb use Concepto labs. Not London I know but if you can travel it'll save you some money for the same service.

I know this original request is now out of date but for anyone else looking, DO NOT use Concepto for an NIPT. I had a shock positive result for trisomy 18 yesterday morning. They told me on a very brief phone call without providing any clarity on what high risk means. As they offer no follow up (or even phone number to call) it was 24 hours before I could speak to someone in the NHS and understand what the results mean and next steps. It has been horrific. Concepto failed to send through the results by email after the phone call as they said they would. I sent many emails (to the general support email which was the only contact available) asking for these and desperately called the physical clinic where my bloods had been taken but they said they only processed the bloods and had no number either to contact the people who gave the results. It took many hours before they sent a rude email with my results which I could then finally share with my nhs hospital. I complained again and the next day got a response saying someone from the Concepto lab would call me to explain the results and accuracy as I had requested. No one called and I’m still waiting. Appalling service. Please seek somewhere with better follow up care and as a very minimum a phone number in the awful event you don’t get a clear set of results.

I did my NIPT (blood test only) with a private midwife, but she's based in south London. You could try and find one in your area who does it?

My wife and I have private midwives looking after us. We decided not to have the NIPT but they do take this if we wanted. Happy to share details if you’d like on private message. Think it’s awful when we do so much research, try to use a good company and then get such awful care.
