Has anyone ever went to a gender scan at exactly 16 weeks or would I be better holding off until 17 weeks ?

I was 16+1 and it was 100% a boy on the scan. He’s now 3.5mo and definitely a boy. 😂

I was 16 weeks both pregnancies and both were correct. I think some companies do it even earlier and some also offer a free rescan if they are unable to tell.

I had mine at 14 weeks, they're able to do them from 14 now.

What was the outcome of your scan?!

Ahh all went good, baby doing really good. He was certain it’s a boy

I had one at 14 weeks and it was very clearly a boy. I could already tell before they told me.

Aw I just hope they are right and not a cord or anything

They’re trained to know the difference. Ask them to double check at your 20w scan if your hospital will do that.

Had a scan at 16 weeks and 18 weeks (medical reasons) and both said boy.
she was a girl 🤣

Oh no way did you see anything on scans yourself that suggested it was a boy?

Yes! Saw the ‘penis’ clear as day both times 🤣 Girls bits can swell whilst growing/with mums hormones so the external labia look much more pronounced, then they shrink to normal proportions a little later on.

Sometimes things just aren’t as they seem! Keeps life interesting!

I guess it depends on the clarity of the scan. There was no denying my third was a boy. 😂
