Driving me crazy. I’ve tried magnesium and now flight socks. Anyone doing anything that works?

If it’s at night, keeping your legs out from under the duvet so they’re cold helps.

I find half an hour or so of bouncing on the ball before going to bed helps

I had to pack those cooler bag frozen ice pack things round my feet in bed when pregnant it was a nitemare-it was the only thing that kind of took the edge off - bit extreme but…

Mine improved once I started on my iron as my iron was low

Honestly used to get my husband to sit on them for me

I'm so glad you asked!
I feel like ripping my legs off most nights.
It's making me so depressed.

Helpimfalling · 07/07/2024 13:24

Also a heated blanket has helped at times.

I get it from about 8pm-12am ish every night 😔

Mine got much better with iron too, my midwife said my iron levels were borderline so didn't automatically give it to me. I asked if I could try it and it improved so much.

Oh I do feel for you. It was my worst mid to late pregnancy symptom and drove me mad. I never knew what to do to help it other than lie with my legs in the air. I couldn't travel in the car with it, or sit in the cinema, just horrible. You have my sympathies.

A weighted blanket!

I had this from my first pregnancy 35 years ago but in the last year a weighed blanket has made a MASSIVE difference

Just buy a cheap one from Amazon.

I need my legs warm. I have an electric blanket at the leg end and I have it on number one.

I know this won't help when you're pregnant but I take Pramipexole and it's an absolute game changer.

I know you've tried magnesium but try magnesium cream as well. That helped a lot for me in pregnancy.

Thanks everyone, loads of suggestions to try! I’m surprised to say that the flight socks seem to be helping- at least they have for the past 2 nights! Has anyone else found that?
