Alternative to EPAU?

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place but I wondered if anyone knows if there's a weekend alternative to the EPAU?

I started bleeding this morning, and was told to contact the local EPAU on Monday unless it got heavier, in which case A&E. IMO, it's not heavy enough for A&E but I do have cramping and I'd rather not have to just sit here, helpless until Monday.

Is there an alternative option for a reassurance scan on Sundays?

Hello,

I'm very sorry you're in this situation. If the cramping is too much to bear with paracetamol and ibuprofen (you can alternate every two hours up to the max dose per 24 hours) then you could call 111 to ask for a prescription for something stronger.

In terms of a scan, there's unlikely to be an interim option unless you can find a private clinic which is open on a Sunday.

Wishing you all the best.

Thank you so much for replying, in my panic I never even thought of a private clinic!

Only if you can find a private clinic. But honestly I’d avoid A&E unless you are in serious pain, I sat there for 13 hours having a MC before being told they couldn’t do anything as was the weekend. Hope all fine. I’ve had bleeding in this pregnancy and all ok at 28 weeeks now
