I leaked during my 1st pregnancy but haven't leaked with my 2nd

Hello,

I leaked milk during my first pregnancy from about 17 weeks but with this pregnancy, my 2nd, I'm 23 weeks and haven't leaked once. It's probably nothing but I'm just wondering if this is normal or if I need to speak to my midwife. Everything else seems the same, just not leaking this time.

I have a good milk supply and didn’t leak in either pregnancy. It’s nothing to worry about - sometimes women leak, sometimes they don’t.

Didn't leak once in my first pregnancy and breast fed my daughter until she was 18 months.

In second pregnancy now, no leaking or any sign of colostrum at 33 weeks. I'm not worried.

I guess it's because I expected to leak with this pregnancy as I did in my first. I have checked if any comes with a massage (not excessively so just to check if I'm producing) and I am getting drops so I don't think I need to worry so much. I guess it's because with my first I was having a girl and this time a boy. The pregnancy has certainly been different for me this time around!

I never leaked milk in either of my pregnancies, it is certainly not cause for concern.

Hi OP I had the same concern, was leaking from 19 weeks with DS but at 24 weeks I still had nothing with my current pregnancy. I’m now 27 weeks and the leaks have commenced! So it may come soon, I’d say nothing to worry about but the same thoughts did cross my mind - enjoy the clean pjs whilst you can 😬

Late to the party, but I'm the same. Leaked from 16 weeks with my first, now 28 weeks and nothing! Can o ask of you managed to feed ok second time/notice any difference post partum?

I breastfed my first for a year.

Didn't leak once in that pregnancy and now 39 weeks with my second and haven't leaked this time either.

Also, my two pregnancies have been completely different experiences in pretty much every way even though both are the same sex so I wouldn't worry about that.
