I am 36 weeks and seeing the midwife tomorrow which is probably why i'm worrying...

I have a sharp pain under my bump to the right - it feels like a pulled muscle but suddenly got it into my head the placenta is detaching or the baby is tunnelling out or something?!? #

It's not always there, comes and goes, has been around for a few days and the baby is still wriggling about (think because it has gone from kicking hard to wriggling due to having less room that is also making me worry more).

Anyway can anyone reassure me / send me to the doctor?

Thanks

Bump

i doubt it is anything serious, but if you are concerned, tehn you should call teh MW . for reassurance, asap

if the placenta was detaching, more often than not, you would have severe sharp pains and bleeding

baby cannot tunnel out, not through two membrances, uterus and body fat etc

under your bump pain could be pulled muscle or pain due to softening of pelvic ligaments as your body prepares for the birth

get checked out if you are worreid

Thanks for replying and for the bump!

As baby is moving about and the pain is quite infrequent and not severe i suspect it to be a pulled muscle but it is so easy to worry.

Seeing the midwife tomorrow but i will call them if i get more worried in the meantime. DP has come down with nasty sicky bug so am knackered from looking after DS by myself all day!

Thanks again
