Has this happened to anyone else? Picture added.

I dipped the test into a cup, so no urine splashed on the screen.
After 5 minutes, the test looked like this; it's been 25 minutes now and the test looks the same?

How high up did the urine go? The test looks negative though

Hi, I did one pregnancy test this morning, which to me looks positive. Because of the pain I've been getting on my lower left side of stomach, I decided to go to hospital. The hospital did a pregnancy test, which came back negative this afternoon. I've just done another pregnancy test at home this early evening, and yet again, the test looks positive to me. I'm so confused, as hospital are saying I'm not pregnant but my home tests are saying I am? Do these look positive to you? And have you had a similar situation with hospital test being negative but home ones being positive?

Pregnancy tests have different sensitivities. Are you using early ones?

Yours look positive to me too so I'd say you are pregnant. Maybe when the hospital did one your wee was more diluted. I'd take another one tomorrow morning with first wee of the day then if you're still having bad pains go back to the hospital and maybe try to hold your wee for a bit for when you get there to take a test!

Cramps/twinges are normal in early pregnancy. Is it a bad pain you have? X

Do you mean you went to EPAU? I would contact your GP and say you have had a positive pregnancy test (the second photo shows a clear positive, if it was taken within the specified time frame) and one sided pain. This should ring alarm bells for them and you should get an appointment quickly, they should then book you in with EPAU. If not, specifically request this and say you are concerned your symptoms indicate an ectopic pregnancy.

I got an appointment with my GP the same day and scan with EPAU the next day (would have been the same day but appointment was late on).

Obviously I really hope it's not an ectopic but it's better to make sure.

The ones the hospital uses aren't sensitive IME. I'd go back with your tests if you're still concerned cos they're deff pregnant. Congratulations I hope everything's okay x
