Just that really growth scan tomorrow but feel meh I'm 5.1 and slim any ways but I'm 28 weeks this week and belly is small I'm having growth scans as previously had small baby's my smallest was 3pounds born at 34 weeks spontaneously. Then after small baby's born on due date being 5 pound I've never been induced so was surprised reading some people get induced if baby has slowed down makes me wonder why they allowed me to go full term with a small baby ! Who knows !! This was going back 8 years ago so maybe times have changed !

Anyways people I see on a daily always comment like

Oh look at your bump that was me at 4 months or they make a funny face like where is she?

It makes me paranoid that baby is well small

When midwife measured, fundal height it was only 2 weeks out. So not massively !!

Dunno why I've wrote this post just a rant x

When I went for a scan at 36 weeks I was asked if it was my 8 week scan I had no bump as back to back baby.

Problem is people will always make comments. I'm 5 foot 1 but the opposite had growth scans as I was too big. Had 7 and 8 pound babies but the comments were ridiculous. People just love to comment on a pregnant bump, just try let them wash over you it's hard but it's just what people seem to do 🙈 good luck op

I don't show until very late. 5ft 3 and was very slim before babies (not so much now after 3 pregnancies 🤣) I get sent to dieticians with my son. Extra growth scans as I always measured atleast 2 weeks behind on fundal height. Guess what, every scan I had my babies were slightly bigger than expected!

My 36 week growth scan I was asked if it's my 20 week scan. No love im nearly ready to pop! Anyway my babies were 7lb (now a 6 year old in 8 year old clothes as he's so tall) and a 7lb 11 daughter, only 11 weeks but growing fab.

Ignore the comments! Just enjoy not being a beach whale as long as baby is healthy 😊

People can be so incredibly rude. On my 1st pregnancy I was tiny. Went to hypnobirthing at around 31/32 weeks and one of the Dads actually said I didn't even look pregnant.

I had 2 small babies 6lbs 1oz and 6lbs 3oz. Worked hard to loose my baby weight quickly this time and someone said to me that 6lbs is so small it doesn't even count as a baby!

They knew my babies were on the smaller side and I was also never offered and induction. If your on the smaller side it's likely genetics. I think that's taken in to account when they plot the graphs x

I think the induction might be dependent on whether the baby's weight is dropping or just small? If baby has always been on the smaller side but they are staying on the same centile, then maybe less of a worry. My DD1 started off at 75th centile and at every scan was dropping until she was below 10th centile at 36w when we were offered at induction for 39w.

This is exactly what I needed to read today! Had midwife appointment yesterday, am 31 weeks, and have been referred for growth scan as I am measuring small. And in last two days I have been complemented about 6 times on how 'neat' my bump is. It is really stressing me out as I don't think it is something worth complementing me on if there is a problem. I just need to sit tight until my scan next week and not think about it.

I had growth scans for measuring small then ended up with a GTT for gestational diabetes as the scan showed she was actually above the 90th centile. She was born at 7lb at 41 weeks.
I think if baby follows their line on the centile charts you will be fine.
I was also referred to a consultant for low bmi in my first pregnancy so I was really pleased she grew so big.

I get the same comments and also growing a small baby! I just say yep it’s lovely having a small bump in this heat. Next… 😂
