Just found out I’m pregnant as 3 + 5. Been having bad insomnia for the past week prior to finding out but now it’s 100 times worse I’m getting max 1-2 hrs a night. Anything I can do to help it/is it normal? So worried the damage it might cause on such little sleep.

I had insomnia throughout my pregnancy, I slept better with a newborn 😭. My daughter is absolutely healthy. The more you worry about sleep, the worse it will become. You can’t force it. Your body WILL get the sleep it needs, but if you add anxiety to the mix, it will be much harder. Have podcasts or something ready for when you can’t sleep and try not to watch the clock. The more relaxed you are about sleeping or not, the more sleep you’ll get. You and baby will be just fine. x

Hey. I’m 24 weeks now, it got better around 14 weeks but still not great! Some nights are better than others. If I have a bad spell I’m taking phenergan which is safe during pregnancy and helps me sleep.
