Hey all. First time pregnancy here. I was due yesterday (28th June). Starting at around 5pm today, I started getting braxton hick type contractions where my tummy goes rock hard (been having these for about a month) but they are now accompanied by bad period type cramps just above my pubic bone and the feeling of a rubber band being pulled tightly behind my belly button. Do you think it could possibly be labour starting or just braxton hicks getting worse? They’re currently every 4-5 mins average (sometimes longer between) and lasting about 55 seconds on average. Been around 4-5 hours of this at the moment.
Thanks in advance

super excited as waiting over 8 years to finally conceive and she’s nearly here 😍🙏🏻🥺

Baby girl was born at 14:12 on 1st July weighing 6lb 7oz. Lovely labour, albeit excruciating once I hit 3-4cm. Had an epidural which was the best decision I made. Water were broken at around 10am. Baby girl needed a ventouse delivery in the end, right at last minute, as her HR kept dropping to 80’s and not recovering for quite some time, every time I pushed. But she arrived, had a little oxygen and is perfect. I am in love and besotted by her.
we stayed in hospital for two days as her temp and resp rate were low but she’s home now and everything is as it should be.
overall, I had an incredible experience with my labour and couldn’t think the hospital and staff more for their care ❤️
