First Movements?

Hey all,

I'm currently 20w1d with our first baby. So all new to me!
I've been waiting to feel these 'flutters' or 'bubbles' and I know it totally varies when you feel movement considering it's a first pregnancy and also where the placenta is (they didn't tell me so I'm not sure!).

Last night and throughout today I've noticed a sensation that kind of feels like when you've eaten something dodgy and your tummy is rumbling 🤣...but really low down, like almost under my bump around my pelvis? Its there for a split second then gone...I assume this could be baby? Or what else should I look out for? 😊 ty x

That sounds like it could be baby, yes! I found that I really started to notice movements that I was sure about around 21 weeks after occasional subtle ones before that a bit like you describe, so you might find that you're on a similar timeline (or not, it's all normal). I didn't really feel bubbles or flutters, I'd say that some of the movements I feel are more like a muscle twitch but inside my tummy, if that makes sense. But yes a rumbly feeling low down also describes some of what I feel 👍

With my first I didn't notice any movements until I could actually "see" them through the bump as I had no idea what they felt like! Turns out I was feeling them all along! It sounds very much like what you described. Congratulations 🎊

Yes sounds possible! I didn't feel anything till 21 weeks but I had an anterior placenta which could be why
