Hi, I am currently taking progesterone injections (allergic to pessaries!) and I am wondering if my baby is ok, currently 9+1 - Will progesterone injections mask ALL miscarriage symptoms? or would i know another way?

progesterone will not stop a miscarriage. best way to check if everything is okay is to have a scan. i had so many in the beginning!

Consultant told me progesterone can mask miscarriage, yes unfortunately, so that would be all symptoms. I have had multiple scans to check progress.

In my experience, it stopped my body from dealing with a miscarriage. I had a blighted ovum last year, once it was confirmed (epu scans two weeks apart) I stopped taking progesterone and two days later I passed the tissue.

Thank you! I had a scan this evening and all ok!!!! So relieved! Baby bobbing around nicely! Thank you for your replies it’s very much appreciated! Consultant said I had a small sub chorionic hematoma so here’s the next lot of worry 🙈

I had a miscarriage on progesterone last year, it happened exactly as the several that preceded it. I honestly don't think it delayed anything. Nothing really takes away the anxiety of pregnancy after loss, you just have to take it one day at a time. wishing you all the best x
