Hi all. This is my first time on this forum. I am 7 weeks pregnant for the first time. My husband and I have been pretty surprised by how alone you seem to be at the start of this journey. I've been having quite a lot of pain. I have spoken to some nurses via our early pregnancy unit in NI who have been reassuring that it might be normal but I'm still freaking out.
I'm having very frequent lower abominable cramps, can only wear loose clothes, seem to be worse when sitting. When I stand up or stretch it feels like I'm about to pull muscles in both sides. I've had this pain since the start, but it feels like it's much more frequent.
The early pregnancy unit have said to wait and see and go to A&E if the pains over a 6/10 but pains so subjective.
I guess I'm just looking for reassurance to see if anyone else has had this?
I've pretty anxious:(

There’s lot of weird things that happen in the first trimester and nothing from maternity services. But most of it is fairly normal. It was I found the time of pregnancy I was most anxious and I felt really rotten. You should have a booking in appointment soon and then it won’t be long until your scan

Can you book a private scan to reassure you? I usually have an early scan at Window to the Womb they will do scans from 6 weeks although you can't see much until about 8 weeks it might help put your mind at rest. The NHS is pretty useless early doors. I hope the pain goes away soon for you and everything is ok

I had this from the moment I got my bfp, crippling pain it would last a few minutes then disappear and usually when I got up or moved around, it did subside after a couple of weeks for me.

What's bfp? Thanks for sharing!

I had this for the first few weeks with both of my pregnancies. Both progressed normally but I ‘felt’ more sensitive and pregnant abdominally really early on than later on when I actually had a bump! I nearly went in once with the pain but it settled x
