Reduced movements?

Hi, wondering if you have any advice.

I'm 26+4 and the last 4 days baby has moved less than usual. Still feeling movements, but less regularly & less strongly.
Baby was having a little active session every 3 hours or so lasting maybe 5-10 mins.
Now I feel the odd flutter or kick a few times a day but it's not persistent kicking like usual & it's less frequent.

I know I should probably call the MAU but I can still feel baby move so I don't know what to do.

Also, if I call, will they tell me to go in? And what will they do when I go? I hate hospitals + am really nervous x

Give them a call. If they ask you to go in, they will probably pop you on a monitor which is completely painless - just basically checks on your baby through a belt on your tummy. You might need to click something every time you feel your baby move. It is absolutely worth it for peace of mind. They may not ask you to go in but I would 100% call and check.

Thank you. I just keep putting it off because I feel silly but you're right. I'll give them a call & explain it and see what they say x

For anyone finding this thread, they want you to call for any change in movements - doesn't have to be a stop of movements. Best of luck OP!

Hope everything was okay op!

Thanks everyone. Everything was completely fine. The little terror started kicking so violently you could see it through my shirt in the waiting area lol.

They checked everything & were really nice about it!

You did the right thing to go in.

Springadorable · 25/06/2024 22:21

@anonhop so pleased all is well. Definitely go back if things go quiet again though. Movements are the only way you can tell if something might be wrong.

Glad all was ok.
