PLEASE HELP ! Positive test?

Please help 🙏 I’m so confused. I’ve always been irregular however the last couple of months I’ve ovulated and bled. I think I ovulated on the 3rd June, I had what I thought was a very faint line on a hpt on 17th June which I think would have been 14dpo. The same day I also started bleeding, obviously disappointed but just glad my body was doing something. I bled for three days, only the second was heavy the third more brown however I did have awful backache. On the 20th which I assume was 18dpo or CD4 as I’d bled I had my smear. I bled a little after with back ache however just put it down to having my smear so soon after finishing bleeding. Yesterday evening on the 22nd June CD6 or 20dpo I’ve had two ‘positive’ hpt. I know they can be false so I’m not getting my hopes up but they both came up in time frame and both have colour. I know you can bleed during pregnancy but surely at 20dpo these should be so much darker ?! Even if I ovulated later than I thought I think the last time I had sex was the 5th June so that would make me 18dpo so surely should be darker?
I've just done clear blue tests and it says 1-2 weeks. Is this because it's not a viable pregnancy with it only saying 1-2 weeks and the lines not being very dark? Going out of my mind!

Hey @timetostartbeingme, I would defo call your doctor and explain the situation. My understanding is faint lines can be a sign of an ectopic, particularly with bleeding. Hope it's all ok for you but I would seek medical advice.

I'm away on holiday next week, in this country. I'm unsure if I can get bloods done out of area but will try and get a DRs phone call appointment next week. Will also retest next weekend. It's all so confusing :( x

hey so you would have convinced 2 weeks and 4 days agoish on or around the 5th of june, but midwifes go from last period so that would put you at approximately 4weeks 4 days pregnant, still early days so i wouldn’t expect a dark line- ive never had dark lines anyway, the clear blue 1-2 weeks is from conceiving so most people add 2 weeks to that so its actually 3-4 weeks, which makes sense since dates are saying roughly 4 weeks, hope this helps xx

Yeah these tests were taken with fmu, internet cheapie hpt taken yesterday evening and that had a line. I just don't want to get my hopes up xx

Hi thanks for your replies! I'm so nervous. I've tested again this morning clue blue line seems to be darker in comparison to yesterdays however shouldn't the frer and internet cheapie be darker if I'm around 4-5 weeks? Thanks xx

My positives tests with my second child were been faint the whole time- they didn’t get darker as I would have expected.
I would try phone your gp today and explain the situation. Ideally you could get 2 blood tests 48 hours apart if you’re not on holiday before then.

Your tests look ok to me. There was a thread recently where there was lots of bleeding and everybody thought it was not good news but turned out the pregnancy was fine so I suppose you can just wait and see how things go during this week and then when you are back see a doctor.
