Did anyone have a scan at 7 weeks? Thinking of getting an early scan but is this too early? Any advice appreciated.

You’ll see a heartbeat but not much else. I had one around 6-7 weeks with both pregnancies to confirm location and HB.

I had a scan at 6 weeks and a couple days at the EPU due to a scare, like pp said apart from the heartbeat there wasn’t much to see. I had planned on paying for an early scan at 7 weeks, kind of glad I didn’t now and will wait a few more weeks to book one 😅

If you just want to check everything's growing OK and there's a heartbeat then I would 100% have a 7 week scan. I had ivf so automatically got a 7 week scan but even if I didn't I would still of got a couple early scans I'd never be able to wait till 12 weeks!

Thankyou! I just feel 12 weeks is so long and I don’t think it’ll fully feel real until I’ve seen it/someone else has told me 🤦🏼‍♀️ This is my first pregnancy so it’s all feeling a little surreal atm!

I had a scan at 8+5 this week and I was astounded at how "formed" it was and how much I could see - beginnings of arms/legs etc. I was supposed to have it earlier but was away on holiday so it got pushed back! If you can hold out until around then, you'll be able to see so much more!

I waited for 8 weeks and found it really helpful and it is really interesting to see
