Slapped cheek?

My older child has slapped cheek (I'm pretty sure - it's going round school and he has the face rash) and I'm 27 weeks pregnant.

I believe i would usually need a blood test to confirm if I'm immune. I called the midwife who said because my trust aren't doing blood tests because of a cyberhack I can't have one and to go in if I have reduced movement... and that it's low risk because I'm over 20 weeks.

If you were exposed to slapped cheek after 20 weeks, what care did you get? I'm not happy with this at all.

I was exposed and caught it, but I was 9 weeks. My midwife was a bit rubbish at acting on my concerns when I thought I had it, so I contacted my GP who arranged for the blood test to be done. Could you contact your GP to request the test?

I’m only 8 weeks but my GP did my blood test when someone in my class got it a few weeks ago!

Thanks both. Everything I read online says that before 20 weeks is greatest risk, but they still test after just in case.

If I really don't need it then fine, I just don't like being told I can't have the test because the blood systems are down!
