Pram Advice Please!!

Ladies, first baby and finally decided on pram - looking to purchase the egg pram 3 complete bundle with car seat (haven't yet decided weather to get the 360 car seat or basic).

Just wondering if anyone here has this travel system and can offer any pros/cons. And any further advice on the set that comes with the basic car seat or 360 car seat. And have these exact sets.

I've often pushed my friends baby around in hers but that's basic around town stuff. So looking at in-depth experience.

Reasons for decision -

  • Love the style of them
  • Love the colour choice
  • glides lovely
  • easy to fold down
  • have a big boot space to easily fits.

Would be greatly appreciated.

Newborns are best suited to basic infant carrier car seats and then an extended rear facing seat that will last them until they are around 6. 360 seats aren’t that great because they have a lower weight limit meaning they don’t last as long as an ERF seat.

Some of the bundles come with the Maxi Cosi Pebble Pro which will be better than the Egg own brand one. There is a good deal on this bundle on a site called Samuel Johnson (never heard of it before though so do check it’s legit if you go ahead).

I would educate yourself on car seats before buying they are not all the same . I joined car seat safety Uk on Facebook and learnt so much they have a list of recommended car seats for newborns based on crash test results and things like how supportive the seats are I choose my travel system based on that

We looked at the egg travel system but didn’t end up going with it as I found the cybex cloud seat was better suited for our needs and it wasn’t compatible with the egg frame. The cybex seat is much and such the same as the maxi cosi.

We went with the noordi fjordi as you can use adapters on the frame to fit the cybex or maxi cosi seat. However, baby is a month old and I’ve not used the car seat on the frame yet as she’s great at transferring and I don’t want to leave her in the seat too long, even in lie flat mode.

As others have said, do some research on the car seat specifically then decide on the pram as you will probably be better off with a separate car seat with adapters for your frame.

So after a discussion with the store, I've gone for the egg3 pram bundle but upgraded to the maxi cosi pebble 360 car seat which we can also put onto the pram with the adapters. And then we will buy the joei 360 car seat when outgrown from the maxi cosi one! Thank you guys xxxxx
