I have been given these pesseries from 15 weeks pregnant. Not because I’m low in progesterone but because I’m at a slightly higher risk of Incompetent cervix and previously lost a baby (unrelated to IC)
I seem to be struggling on them. I can’t find much information online and the doctor just handed me a prescription.
I’ve been feeling quite depressed, achy, swollen and just generally very hormonal. I hadn’t had any of these symptoms prior to starting treatment, give or take a few days.
I know it’s a hormonal treatment but does it cause a large surge of hormones when you start off ? Will this settle down? I’m not low in progesterone so maybe this is why I’m slightly off balance now.
