Headaches

Are headaches a common early pregnancy sign? I cant remember having them with ds. I have had one everyday since Sunday and I feel awful.
I've taken some paracetamol but is there any other way to get rid of them?

I had awful headaches in my last pregnancy. I did take paracetamol, but obviously wanted to limit it.

I resorted to burning lavender candles - not sure they did any good, but I felt I was doing my best.

I had the flu a couple of weeks ago and it gave me a crippling headache and I couldn't move my head without severe pain. What did help was an ice cold flannel and my mum also put some lavender oil drops on as she said lavender was good for headaches.

I can really recommend the book "How to make a pregnant woman happy" which my husband is reading which has some good tips about headaches such as massages your partner can give you to relieve the pain.
