I’m 26+2 and just had this on my tissue paper after having a wee which I think looks like mucus plug. I called the maternity unit and she just said they’re not concerned as it can come away at this point and it doesn’t mean anything but please can somebody reassure me that it’s actually okay?

Trained medical professionals at your maternity until have already reassured you it's ok. Don't ask randoms on the internet.

Yes it's fine , I get this now and I'm 11 weeks. The mucus plug is a lot bigger and more than that x

Beautifulbythebay · 15/06/2024 21:33

That's just discharge imo.

Springadorable · 15/06/2024 21:34

I don't think that's your mucus plug, that looks like normal discharge. Your mucus plug is huge, could be a palm sized blob of snot on the tissue. Won't be like anything you've seen before...

This happened to me a few times and with a similar amount around the 18-20 week mark. I'm now 28 weeks and it hasn't happened since then x

That's discharge OP

minnieot · 15/06/2024 21:43

Thank you all for the reassurance. It looked very different to my usual discharge, was more of a stringy, snot-like consistency which is why I was worried but feeling a bit better now thanks to your comments. Thank you so much x

i had discharge like this and it ended up being yeast infection. I didn’t have any usual yeast infection symptoms. Maybe have your urine treated at your gp.
