Vaginal Prolapse?

Hi All. Bit of an awkward one to post but I’m 35+2 first pregnancy so no experience or knowledge to be honest. But the last few days I’ve noticed my vagina is a bit bulgy and inside the ‘flaps’ seems to be too much skin and ‘swollen.’ (Sorry I don’t know how to describe it). I spoke to Triage via phone and they told me to mention to the midwife when I come in for monitoring, so I did. She said they don’t need to check it I just need to google Perinatal Pelvic Health Services and email them about it. Is this normal? I mean it’s not hurting or anything but shouldn’t someone check it out or am I just overthinking and worrying? I’m debating ringing triage again while I’m here but I don’t want them thinking I’m being dramatic. Thank you!

Based on your description I wouldn't say this is prolapse but more just very swollen, I feel similar. I think it's the combo of pressure from baby and increased blood flow to the area just feels very swollen and sometimes even a bit bruised. But I don't know what prolapse would feel like in comparison. Are you still having sex? I would guess if you could have sex then it's not prolapse as everything is still where it needs to be, just a bit bigger and squidgier!

Thank you I’m not sure it’s prolapse either which is why I’d have liked them to check 🫣 I’m going to do my pelvic floor exercises and ring GP Monday to have a quick look. Definitely not having sex, it started hurting a couple of months ago where I was swollen and tbh, I don’t have any energy to even bother right now 🤣 Thank you! X
