Can this finally be signs of labour 39+ 5 weeks? Anyone have the same ?

So I'm 40 weeks on Monday. This is 3rd pregnancy.. and yet I'm still needing some mumsnet experiences please.. last night I woke at 4am with constant braxton hicks for 2 hours, along with 2 soft number 2s (sorry TMI) and vivid dreams . Have woken this morning still feeling cramps and sick .. Also some stabby pains in pelvis and bum area etc.. no contractions but the braxton hicks were very quick and intense and non stop last. Night.. today still feel like I've got a bad tummy aswell. Could i finally be close to having baby.. ? Anyone have similar ? Thank u also.. feeling quite nauseous aswell today ?

Sounds like it!

Good "purple line labour" and have a look in the mirror, that might give you a definitive indicator

Similar to me - sounds like early labour. They say it is a contraction if it starts in the stomach and works its way down to the pelvis and back. At the moment the pain feels like a bad period pain for me. Except it has been two days and the contractions keep disappearing when I sleep.

Eventually the Braxton Hicks will get stronger and will be more consistent. That is my experience.

I've just fell asleep! I've been EXHAUSTED for 2 days aswell still have very very slight cramps. Just feel like I'll be pregnant forever though my poor children have given up waiting 😆

I experienced all of this I am now 40+5 weeks. 3 days before my due date I had sickness and diarrhoea and overall had a bad belly I couldn't understand where the hell I would of caught a bug from as I hadn't really been out the house so I was sure it wasn't that but looking back I think it was just my body clearing out (haha pregnancy is so gross). Even though it didn't mean labour was imminent it was for sure my first sign of things progressing. I am now in the early stages of labour, I also had stabbing pains in the pelvic area around this time so I would say your body is probably getting things ready. fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you. I have basically accepted the fa t this one will over due my other were 2 weeks over due.. thank you
