Sorry for the long essay but I would love to hear if anyone has had a similar experience with a positive outcome....
From LMC I'm 8w2d. I booked an early scan for peace of mind before going on holiday but in the mean time had a little dark spotting at 6w3d. Had an exam at EPU and they reported no concerns and cervix was closed but booked me in for a scan when I got back from holidays. Had the early private scan at 7w2d but was measuring at 5w5d but ?too early for a heatbeat (despite my dates being regular and tracked) but I've heard this is common so was just happy to know it was in the right place before I went away. I then had my scan at the EPU at 8w1d and they reported it was difficult to see clearly due to the angle so couldn't measure but that the yolk sac and everything else looked normal for an early pregnancy but would mean I was much earlier than 8w and also too early for a heartbeat. Now I have to wait a week for another scan to see if there has been any growth and from what I have read I've prepared myself for it being a missed miscarriage but I would love to know if anyone experienced similar but had a good outcome.
