Implantation bleeding? How long until you had a positive? Late positive

Hi all

Just after a wee bit of advice really and experiences of others!

We've been ttc for about 6 months, my cycles were a bit irregular coming off the pill (51, 50, 29, 36). I'm now on day 55 with no sign of AF.

About a week ago I had pink/brown discharge that lasted about 24hours. Looked like the start of my period so I was deflated however AF never came. I've read a fair bit about implantation bleeding and thought it could be this although I know not everyone experiences this.

I've taken a couple of tests, so far negative. Although I wonder if that was implantation bleeding whether it would be too early to test accurately anyway?

Anywhom, just wondering how long it took you to get a positive test? Did it take anyone a few weeks late to get a positive test following a late period?

It might just be another irregular cycle but it's odd that it's longer than any of my other cycles and the spotting a week ago has thrown me!

If it was implantation bleeding I'd expect you to be testing a strong positive a week after - usually it happens around dpo 8-10 ish so a week after would be several days late for a "normal" period. That's not to say you aren't pregnant and I'd keep doing cheap tests every couple of days, but I'd brave yourself for a negative x

Thank you for your reply 😊 it happened on Saturday-sunday now I think about it so just under a week but I get what you're saying, would probably see a BFP by now! Such a minefield all this stuff 😂 just wish AF would come now so I can start again
