Hi I had a private scan at 15+4 and got told baby boy, after having his legs crossed for most of the scan.
My 20 week NHS scan I have been told a little girl , can anyone help with use of these images ? Thanks

Id be inclined to go with the 20 week scan... these private scans are not done by fully trained people and carry a warning that they can be incorrect.

Id also be inclined to go with the 20 week scan, not only because of the songrapher but also because the genitals will likely be more obviously developed at 20 weeks Vs 15. Without a potty shot hard to confirm on your pics

Do you think it's worth booking another private scan around 25 weeks?
Im so anxious now!

I would go back to the place that did the private scan and say that nhs 20 week scan said the opposite to their scan. Most offer a free rescan when this happens

what would it acheive? does it matter if its a girl and not a boy? at your next NHS scan you can ask them again, but i genuinely would stick with your 20 week scan result

Unless the NHS sonographer expressed any doubts as to how sure they were, I’d assume they were correct if I were you. If you hadn’t had the private scan you wouldn’t have known any different anyway.
And see if there’s anything you can do to relax and feel less anxious. I appreciate that can be easier said than done(!), but I assume the rest of your 20 week scan went well and so your baby is developing well - that really is what matters.

How expensive is it for a private scan? You can have a blood test that will tell you with over 99% accuracy but they're really expensive. If you really want to know, that's one way to tell for sure within a few days.

No. It'll be born not long after, then you'll know for sure. Honestly, it's not worth anxiety, if that's really what you meant.
