Pregnancy of uncertain viability

Hey so I had a 6 week scan today due to previous early losses and was told they couldn't see a heart beat so it's called a pregnancy of uncertain viability and that I need to come back in 10 days for a rescan.

I'm so anxious because my last pregnancy I had the same scan and was told the same thing, when I went for a rescan I was told there's no heartbeat and I was miscarrying my baby.

I just don't know how I'm going to rest until I have the next scan, has anyone else had this but come away with good news? 😔

I have had a similar experience, and unfortunately it wasn’t good news for me, but I remember waiting in that period between scans I did read lots of positive stories. All you can do is prepare for the worst but hold on to some hope that you could be one of the lucky ones.

It’s so hard waiting for the next scan, I took the time off work and just focused on my well being doing nice things for myself each day.

This happened to me in 2021. They said I was either too early (I was sure of my days so technically I knew I wasn’t too early) or I was having a miscarriage. It felt like a huge blow as I definitely knew my period dates therefore they should have been seeing something on the scans, and this led me to believe I was miscarrying.

the wait for the next scan felt like forever 🙁

Anyways, long story short, that “pregnancy of uncertain viability” is currently asleep next to me 💙
