Rh sensitivity

I am currently 30 weeks and had some blood tests done yesterday. Most of the results came in while I was still at the hospital so I was able to discuss the results, but last night the last ones came in that said I have tested positive for rh antibodies (I’m rhesus negative, baby is positive). There was also a note that said the sample was not sufficient for further tests so I need to give another sample.

I found out the results via the automatic email notification of results and haven’t had any communication from the hospital yet about it or about coming back in. The midwife number on my notes only works part time so isn’t available to ask today.

Is there anyone out there who has also been sensitised who can tell me what this might mean for my baby? Google isn’t reassuring! My last test at 28 weeks was negative so sensitisation must have happened relatively recently, though can’t think how.

If it’s relevant, this is my second pregnancy (first also positive) with two early miscarriages in between.
