God I have just reached the end of my tether (spelling??)

I have had Morning Sickness now for about 7 weeks and ITS GETTING WORSE (what's all that about???)

I am now 12 weeks and was really hoping that it would be subsiding by now - (however I was sick every day untli 20 weeks with DS)
But over the past week its got worse and is getting slghtly worse every day - today I am finding it hard to keep anything down.

I look awful, feel awful and has no energy to do anything but the absolute basics at home.

Has anyone got any suggestions for alternative therapies? I am willing to try anything.

Ps. I have a VERY strong intuition that I am having teins but my MW hasn't booked me in yet and I have not got a date for a scan.

Firstly, why hasn't your midwife seen you yet? I thought they were supposed to see you in time to be booked in for a scan at 12 weeks?

Secondly, I sympathise hugely having suffered with both of mine I know how draining and depressing it is. Do you have any cravings? I always found that if I ate what I felt I needed it would stay down better - I had a few weeks of just eating crisp sandwiches If it gets really bad you can ask your GP to prescribe you anti-emetics, I was given cyclizine (sp?) which helped for a while.

cos its my second my MW is SOOOOOO much more relaxed. She has been away on her hols and she is seeing me for teh first time at the end of this week for my booking in appt - I think I will feel a bit better once i hear the heartbeat etc

Have noo idea when I will get my dating scan - rubbish isn't it?

Considering going to get a private scan in the meantime to put my mind at rest.

poor you, morning sickness is awful. Have you tried anti sickness wrist bands? they put pressure on an acupuncture point on your wrists and they are supposed to help.

belgo · 07/04/2008 15:21

I also suggest you see your GP if it is getting worse not better.

I can completely sympathise. I am 11 weeks today and have also been suffering. I thought it should be easing off by now but woke up this morning and tried to vomit before I even got out of bed which is a new record (and a new low). I am having another sickie today cos I just cannot face feeling like this at work.

I have tried the wrist bands but have had to take them off because I must be allergic to them or something - I now look like I have two misplaced stigmata on my wrists!

Just try and take it easy. Hope you feel better soon, cos I know how crap you are feeling.

Hi, ginger tea and biccy helped me..
sorry you feel so ill..

babycakes26 · 07/04/2008 15:37

Hey Gem
I am just the same - now 14.4 wks and the nausea is gradually getting worse for me - it is really overwhelming and I too couldn't face the office today with my stomach on spin cycle!!!! However disgusted you feel by food try and get something down however small ever hour or so - this seems to help me - also sipping ginger ale or soda water fairly constantly can help until you reach the point where you really give up caring about anything!!! I have a poorly dog today too so have spend most of the morning sorting out his vomit - nice eh! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger lol

AND.....If one more person tells me I should be feeling better by now too I am going to punch them! My MIL lectured me on this on Saturday evening just before I threw up all over the sofa to the side of her - I think it was bubba's way of saying 'give my mummy a break!!!'
