Hello,

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and anxious due to previous miscarriages - I’ve never gotten this far previously so have everything crossed.

These past few days I’ve felt like my cervix and vagina have been sore, and I do have white discharge but it’s not really much different to previous discharge.

I am waiting on swab results but they are taking forever and I won’t get them until next week.

I wondered if anyone can share their experience of having thrush but without loads of discharge? Did it ache/burn feel like your cervix was sore etc?

thank you!!

Yes, I had this during pregnancy, you can just buy canestan thrush treatment and treat at home. No need for gp prescription. Only thing not recommended in pregnancy is the oral thrush treatment. Vaginal peasant and cream are find

Yes - I treated with 2% canestan. I always end up with thrush after antibiotics.

Meant to say 'vaginal pessary and cream are fine'

@CTW23 Thank you! So you had similar symptoms? Felt sore and just uncomfortable down there but without much ‘tell tale’ discharge?

I have the pessary and cream here so will use tonight! Just a nervous wreck this pregnancy as have had 4 miscarriages x

Yes, you don't always get the thick lumpy discharge. I see a lot of thrush as I have to swab patients sometimes, or notice it during smears and it isn't always particularly obvious.
I'd just use the treatment and see if it clears.

This is exactly what I had. Horrible sensation. Not while pregnant but when I had hyperthyroidism (so hormone imbalance again). Definitely get the cream OP. Don’t put up with it when you don’t have to. And good luck with your pregnancy.

I had no symptoms at all last time I had it, they just did a routine swab because I was admitted to the gynae ward for other things.

Thank you. I’ll use the pessary tonight just to be on the safe side. X
