How much weight is safe to lift during pregnancy? Is 5kg too much?
Week 12 pregnancy.

I continued to weight train as normal throughout both of my pregnancies. So I’d have been squatting and deadlifting 60-70kg roughly. Not lifting heavy weights is another pregnancy myth. How do you think mums of multiple children manage? Just not picking up their 2-3 year old toddlers who probably weigh 15-20kg. Just carry on like you always have. You’ll be fine

Need some context…if you’re talking about training as long as you are not introducing anything new you can continue as you are. As PP says if you have weight trained you can continue through your pregnancy.

if you’re talking about in a work setting depends what, why and how you’re lifting.

Training wise carry on as you have been, as in your generic weights not a PB level weight. I've been carrying my 16kg daughter even now at 35 weeks pregnant.
