EPAU scan found internal bleeding

Hi, i had an epau scan yesterday and all was well with baby, saw the heart flicker at 7 weeks however im abit worried.. the sonographer said that she was able to see some bleeding adjacent to baby. I asked her if this is normal and she said that no bleeding in pregnancy is normal but bleeding happens. Now my brain is in overdrive! Has anybody else had this happen?.

@NavyNewt weird coincidence but I had an EPU scan this morning measuring 7+4 and saw a HB :) They said I had a little bit of bruising/bleeding in my uterus too but said it’s totally normal and they weren’t concerned. They said it’s likely to get reabsorbed by the body or might be seen as some spotting but nothing to worry about.

I also had bleeding in my uterus, I ended up with brown bleeding when I wiped which lasted just over a week. I'm still only 8 wks 5 days but I've been scanned again since (saw HB both times) and it's absorbed and the bleeding has totally stopped. The concept is so scary and my midwife was absolutely nonchalant, it must be relatively common!
