Bleeding 10 weeks

Hi there,
suppose I’m looking for some success stories to try and keep my spirits up.
im just over 10 weeks pregnant and this morning I got a gush of blood out of the blue. The maternity unit won’t see me until Sunday due to appointments so Iv just to wait and see. The bleeding has eased right up.
has this happened to anyone who has had a successful pregnancy?

If you're experiencing any pain then head to A&E or call EPU again. Surprised the hospital won't see you, you'd be classed as an emergency and can be seen by the EPU at hospital. The fact that it's stopped seems positive (and no pain also positive). Cervix's are very sensitive during pregnancy so anything can cause bleeding (like squatting, sex, masturbation, even just walking fast). It would depend on how much and the colour of it also.

I had this with my first (although not a gush, smaller amounts) and all was fine. 11 weeks with my second and had some spotting and brown blood, went to EPU and all was fine.

Good luck. Do call hospital if it happens again or you're worried.

I’m scotland so not sure if it’s different here as I pushed on the phone to be seen then spoke to my doctor hoping they could refer me.
Thanks for sharing your story. I’m hoping mine is similar. It’s such an anxious time and I just had a miscarriage in Feb so I have been a nervous wreck. 🙈

Bleeding is quite common during early pregnancy apparently!
as long as you don’t have any pain you shouldn’t have to worry, many people who have had bleeding have gone on to have a positive experience during their pregnancy.
I have the pregnancy+ app and it says during week 9/10 you can experience some bleeding while the placenta takes over I believe?
congratulations on your pregnancy☺️

@AnnieR1989 I've had it go both ways. Once it was my first indicator of a MMC. In my current pregnancy I had three instances of spotting/bleeding before ,14wks - that last time even included small clots. I was convinced each time it was bad news but pregnancy has continued. Currently 30+4. They never found any obvious cause of the bleeding and suggested cervix was most likely candidate as no pockets seen around womb etc. Hope all works out well for you. No pain and the fact it's not continued are hopefully good signs! 🙏🏼

Thanks for your reply’s.❤️ Ended up booking a private scan today and everything was fine and heart bouncing away and said they couldn’t see any problems. I will still attended the NHS scan to confirm. Xx

That sounds positive! I also had bleeding, and my baby was fine in the end. It's a horrible scary feeling though.
