Miscarriage?

I just went for a wee and the urine was light pink in colour and I have passed a very small thread like clot. Is this a miscarriage? i’m beside myself, i’m not having any cramps and I’m just so stressed. Everyone said pregnancy is meant to be the best time of your life but all i’ve done is be stressed and anxious. They won’t see me till tomorrow morning for a scan. Is this bleeding normal?

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. You're doing the best thing going in to get checked out. I'm guessing you're quite early? Try everything you can to stay calm and remember there's nothing you can do right now. If it was urgent, believe me they'd have you in already. I really hope everything goes well. I had 2 early miscarriages and 2 happy healthy babies. Both of my babies cause spotting later on and ended up getting scans for each of them, but they were totally happy and healthy in there and nothing needed done.

I’m only 5 weeks and 2 days. I’m beside myself. I won’t be able to sleep tonight

Like previous poster, I’ve had bleeding in early pregnancy and gone in to have a healthy baby. I’ve also had a miscarriage without any bleeding.
So really hard to know what’s going on, but glad you have a scan in the morning as that’s only way to know. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

Are you having any pain or cramping?

It's great they're seeing you, the NICE guidelines are expectant management for bleeding before 6 weeks with no pain. I'd just caution that there's very little they can do at this early stage - they can examine you, they'll ask lots of questions and some trusts may do a scan to rule out ectopic but they won't see much at this stage.

As PP have said - it's so hard to say, sometimes bleeding is a sign of a miscarriage and other times the pregnancy goes ahead fine.

I totally understand, I'm 5+5 and been having brown light bleeding and cramps for a few days so I understand how you're feeling. Good luck, hope all goes well at your appointment

I sadly miscarried at 6 weeks and 2 days gestation.

I was told I have premature ovarian failure and low ovarian reserve. This was a spontaneous pregnancy so it’s unlikely I’ll ever get pregnant again.

I feel depressed, and like I’ll never recover from this. My body failed me yet again.

Im so sorry for your loss. Hope you are looking after yourself and have people around you for support.

When you’re feel ready to think about trying again, please don’t write yourself off. I have very low AMH, my ovarian reserve is well below where it should be at my age but I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant.

I am so sorry you had to go through this.
But although it might be harder, there is no reason to think you definitely cannot do it again.
You did it once after all. It ended in a miscarriage, but you did get pregnant.
I have my fingers crossed for you.
