Contractions stopped 😤

Not sure if I’m after advice or just a rant… Sunday night had regular tightenings which were every 5 minutes but not painful. Still, as they were regular triage asked me to go in with me being a higher risk pregnancy (vbac) as I have to labour in hospital no matter how early.

got there, confirmed contractions by midwife and the machine, had an examination and confirmed 1cm dilation. Tightenings developed into fairly intense period cramps which went right through to my back. Grand, things are really getting going although still only 5 mins apart. Asked to go home to continue labour until they became more frequent, also needed to get my car home, get bags and get hubby as stupidly I’d driven myself there.

got home and contractions slowly but surely petered out to zilch. Nothing! Had the odd one since Monday morning but it’s now Wednesday and this baby is showing no signs of coming 🙄

sorry for the long post, just a very pregnant and frustrated woman wanting to meet her baby

Its frustrating. A good walk helped mine to get started again.

Hate to break it to you but it's Tuesday.

Have a good sleep and meal while you can. They'll start again eventually!

On a positive - your body is doing exactly what it needs to do! Whilst it may feel dragged out, you feel fed up and just want baby here and it's so disheartening for them to stop - your body has its own reason behind it all and is gearing up in its own way to prepare. Spend some time being active, some time resting, lots of food and sleep and before you know it baby will be here!

5 mins apart is pretty far apart and what I would think were braxton hicks contractions. You did right going in just in case. Relax, this is very common. I hear you on being sick of being pregnant, we all get there in the 3rd trimester. Your baby will come soon.
