I posted recently about spotting during pregnancy
Previous experience: dd - bled. Diagnosed with cervical erosion.
Mc - felt twinges in one side so was referred. Ended up being in the right place but didn't develop and had an early miscarriage. The twinge was a cyst. Almost had 'exploratory surgery' to find the pregnancy as well but it was just a pregnancy that wasn't developing according to dates.
Ds- bled, didn't go to get checked, paid for an early scan and all was well at 7 weeks.
This is my 4th pregnancy. I am 5 weeks and 2 days today and bled quite badly today, red blood after sex. I have spotted mildly before this on and off, but as you can see I've bled every single pregnancy now so it's not uncommon, I just know if it's worse or painful then I'd call.
It seems to of lessened and no more fresh blood has came out. It went on to a pad but not enough to be considered heavy. I'm having minor twinges to one side but again, I had it before and it wasn't anything, feels the same - it isn't any worse than that and it was just a cyst.
I'm not in pain at all but I was cramping quite badly last week and put it down to being that I've had 2 kids previously and things doing things in there. My tests weren't really getting darker and I know this isn't an indicator so I stopped testing. I do have pregnancy symptoms, mainly sore boobs.
You can't ring the early pregnancy unit here or self refer. I'd have to call non emergency or my doctors office.
I've been through this with my first 2 pregnancies and I know I'm going to have internal screenings, blood tests, the whole shabang, but now I have two kids and most of the time have no childcare as I split from their dad and I have a new partner now. If I'm back and forth it'd make it difficult.
What's my best option here?
As per my last experience before 6 weeks not much can be done and also can't see much so it would just be a series of appointments back and forth unless I waited til next Monday. That's also the same day I can go private as I'm 6 weeks and there's nowhere that scans sooner than that.
Any advice?
