Hi, can anyone give advice.

This is my 4th baby, so its not like I've not been here before. My youngest ds is 7, so there's a bit of a gap and can't really remember all the aches and pains if any.

I'm 16 weeks and since Friday have been having quite bad pains in my lower abdomen, sometimes stabbing like and sometimes just a dull aching feeling, but pretty much constant. At first I thought constipation, but been regular (surprise surprise!) for a few days now. Then I thought UTI, but I've no problem with the water works, no burning and no urgency. I can't get to see my GP till tomorrow with it being Sunday, so thought I'd see if anyone has any advice to put my mind at rest. The pain seems to ease when I lie or sit down, but is there the minute I stand and walk around. I've not been doing anything out of the ordinary either. Very strange. Thanks guys

it sounds a bit like ligament stretching, can you call nhs direct or your maternity unit/epu?

It could still be a UTI - i had one around 17 weeks but the only symtom was lower abdominal pain that came and went in waves but eventually became constant and very painful so was fearing the worst. I couldn't see my GP as it was a weekend and eventually went to A&E in a panic and was seen very quickly and given antibiotics which stopped the pain very quickly - worth having your pee tested asap either at A&E or the labour ward might see you.
