Dh doesn't seem as interested

I am expecting our second. I am only 4 weeks, got the BFP on Friday. My dh doesn't seem quite as interested this time round. Is it because he knows what is happening?

He was interested during the baby making part just not now

He'll come round, I'm sure.

Congratulations on your BFP.

Thanks. I do think I might be being a bit silly too.

I have done and he says he is excited. I think I am being emotional.

You're allowed to be emotional

Remember, it is your body and you are far more aware of what is happening at this stage. It is always on your mind! You ahve already thought through the consequences for each upcoming event or whatever, should you become pg, since you were ttc...men don't do this!!!

Give him a bit of time to get his head into gear...

I says he is worried about getting a double buggy that doesn't fit through the door of all the things to worry about.

my dh was exactly the same when I had dd1 and then dd2 after ds..however he adores both the girls and tbh it is a bit boring to listen to someone whine about being pg..I only know as my friend was due her third when I had DD2 and she went on and on and on...

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 11:51

Thanks Nemo.

My dp said if i was pg again he was moving out

now 21 weeks gone he is the first with his hand on my belly when shes kicking, buying little furry baby boots etc so its safe to say he's excited!

I dont think there is alot they can do during the first few weeks but once hes seen scan felt kicks etc he will start becoming more involved and excited

congratulations xx

BTW this is baby number 4 for us

Heartmum2Jamie · 06/04/2008 13:50

You think it's bad this time, wait till you get to your third, lol!

No, that is not strickly true, I think my dh is too scared to get excited as we have had a previous loss, plus in those early weeks before the bump and the kicking, it probably doesn't seem very real to them. I am sure my dh will come around after the scans, he likes to feel bump move ect, so it does get better the further along you get.

Well he has been circling things in baby catalogues. I think you are right its so early that he cant feel anything.

He can have my morning sickness though
