Cyclogest

I started cyclogest today, I’ve had 5 miscarriages and currently 5+4 with my second baby. I just want to hear what side effects people have had with this? I’m really anxious as I’ve heard from some of my friends that she had no side effects and the other said it made her feel awful.

Hi. I am on cyclogest (following IVF). I've had abdominal cramps (similar to period pain), bloating and constipation. Nothing too unmanageable.

I had it up to 16 weeks. Some digestive discomfort and bloating initially. Made me look pregnant quicker I think. I did feel better after stopping it. Don't worry though it's not that bad, I also had 5 mc and somehow taking them helped my anxiety as it felt like I was doing something proactively x

I didn't have any of the more common side effects with cyclogest but did have an awful lot of discomfort.
It caused me an awful lot of vaginal and vulval irritation. It made me feel so swollen in my vagina. And the discharge that came with it (I don't know was it left over product from the pessary or actual discharge) felt like it caused severe irritation to the skin on my labia. Sorry if TMI🙄 I kept having to change panty liners and bring wipes with me to work to avoid any of the pessary discharge sitting on my skin. Eventually it got too sore that I asked could I use it rectally instead and that was a game changer! No side effects at all.
I wouldn't have changed it for the world though, it made me feel as though I was doing something, anything to help.

Thanks so much everyone, very reassuring! It has relieved my anxiety being on them, because like you all said, I feel proactive!
