Hi mums, last night I ate at an Arabic bakery which has good reviews and is said to be a respectable establishment. All the chefs were wearing hairnets and gloves and all the cooking was done out in the open. I had this type of flatbread with minced beef on it which is cooked in a brick oven for 3 mins according to them. The meat seemed to have browned when it arrived at the table and I ate it- only after I think I saw a piece of reddish mince. The beef had a lot of fat in it too so a lot of white stringy bits. I feel ok except I have been gassy since! But this could also be the effect from the spices? No stomach cramps or anything yet and it's been 8 hours since I had it. Now I'm wondering if I'm overthinking it - surely the high temperature in the brick oven would mean it's thoroughly cooked even if it was just for a couple of minutes?
