Implantation bleeding

Hi, I'm just wondering what people’s thoughts are… so my nexplanon stopped working in March. I started ovulating and I rang doctors to see when it was due out and they said it was due out and booked me an appointment and then cancelled and said they’d be back in touch.
March and April I had heavy flow period that lasted only 2 days each month.
This month I’ve been sexually active and I’ve had no usual period cramping I’ve just had really light spotting with discharge and some brown that lasted less than 24hrs and I’m worried it’s implantation bleeding because I had the same thing with my 1st child.
The spotting started Thursday night at midnight and stopped Friday night at around 10PM. I’ve took a test today and it’s negative. Should I just see that as a period or retest in a few days?

It shouldn’t have stopped working dead if it was due to be removed in March, obviously it does need replacing but I think it’s unlikely to be implantation bleeding, although due use other methods of contraception from now on.

There were no pregnancies among almost 300 people who kept their implant for 5 years(two years past the expiration date); and researchers demonstrated that the concentration of hormone remained at high enough levels to prevent pregnancy.

It just worries me that I’ve started ovulating and started having periods.
I always have implant and I never have periods on them I just loose brown discharge monthly but because it’s due out I started my periods again in March and this months very light compared to March and April That’s the only reason why I worry.
