I've had two failed sweeps so far. Baby is big hence the sweeps. I've now been booked in for induction. In two bloomin weeks time. Is there any chance I can get this brought forward and changed to an elective section? I'm so uncomfortable and my mental health is a complete wreck I don't think I could take waiting another two weeks.

Thank you.

Hi op, sorry to hear you're feeling this way. How far along are you? I think it might depend on which NHS trust you're in and on your consultant, but from what I've read on here, I think they often will listen if you are feeling anxious about the birth, particularly if your baby is measuring bigger. It's always worth asking! Xx

I'm nearly 40 weeks :( I think I just needed a vent tbh, I'm just so exhausted. Three other kids to look after and my partner works crazy shift hours so I'm pretty much on my own the majority of the time. I've never been pregnant this long either. I just want it over and done with so I have energy to do things again. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it and sorry for the extra mini vent 😂♥️

I think you can request an elective section at any time before labour (+ maybe in it depending on circs). Call your midwife & say you've changed your mind & want a section booked in. You might have to meet with consultant but they should do it.

If you want induction brought forward, I'm not sure how that works I'm afraid! X

@ShivWesker you're very welcome to vent! It sounds like you've got your hands more than full. I hope you're managing to get some downtime for yourself. Even just half an hour to lie down. I agree with pp - call your midwife and explain. Hopefully they will be able to help. Look after yourself and best wishes for baby's arrival ❤️🥰
