Hello,
I had a growth scan at 31 weeks and baby was at 97th percentile, just had another scan now and I'm at 34 weeks and they're saying the growth has accelerated 😩 and have sent me to triage, no one has said why, I've just had gestational diabetes test this week and my results were normal. Previous babies quite large and both side of family too
I have c section booked for 39 weeks, they have mentioned if so large they might do it early. The problem is my husband is going on a business trip in 2/3 weeks and parents in law also going abroad for 2 weeks at the same time, they're the only people I know can help if something happens and help with our children
Also moving house on Tuesday Shock
Does anymore know what they're going to say in triage?! The sonographer didn't say much and just said sorry Sad

Congratulations! How much did baby weigh in the end?

Welshcake15 · 20/06/2024 07:06

I had growth scans with my first two and neither of them were very accurate tbh, and there is a margin of error of about 15%

Also, don't forget that your growth chart is personalised, so if you're small then 98th centile might be quite normal for someone who is smaller. I'm on the larger size and when they put my previous children on it my 7lbs 14oz baby is on the 11th centile and my 8lbs 10oz baby is on the 32nd centile, so I'm being told they were "small" purely because they would expect a larger person to have larger babies, if that makes sense.

Congratulations @Sarahjsxx
I had a scan yesterday at 36 weeks and baby is weighing 7.2lbs! Offered induction in 2 weeks but declined. Telling my consultant when I speak to them today that I want a c section. How much did your baby weigh if you don’t mind me asking? X

Thank you so much! I was just so glad to make it until my husband got back at least Grin my children been enjoying themselves with family friends aswell I don't think my daughter is even bothered I'm gone

Baby weighed 9.2 pounds at 38 weeks, they predicted would have been 10 pounds by 39 weeks Smile
