Bad cramping and now nausea... AF due 2 days ago.

I've had very bad cramps this week, I actually thought AF was coming early. I was on holiday too so I thought typical! So I decided to have the odd cocktail or 2 thinking I was due on. It's now 2 days late and today I've been feeling very nauseous but the cramps are still really bad like I'm about to have a super heavy period. I'm usually on time too.

Just sent my partner to the shop to get me a pregnancy test as I'm convinced I am! But also super worried it might be a chemical pregnancy 😔 especially with the painful cramps. Or I could just be late... Except the cramps never usually go on this long!

Anyone else had a similar experience??

Good luck for the pregnancy test. It’s so worrying the whole time, depending on what that shows will depend on the advice. Lots of people get lots of cramping with implantation and drinking alcohol that early will be fine as you won’t be having a blood supply at this point.

Cramping is normal for alot of women in early pregnancy as is feeling like you are about to come on. The nausea was a dead giveaway for me in all of my pregnancies (including the two early loses). There is no way to tell if a pregnancy is going to be viable or a chemical just on symptoms alone.

All you can do is a test and take it from there. Good luck. I hope you get the result you want!

Congratulations! Cramping is very normal, I felt like my period was going to come for weeks with the cramps up until about 9 weeks pregnant

I just knew it felt different to a late period! I'm still a bit in shock though haha and obviously don't want to get my hopes up too much just in case...

Congratulations, that is a definite positive! You can book an early private scan from 6 weeks from £75 in most cities/large towns
