How often should you have growth scans if baby is measuring large?

Hello,
I'm 34 weeks now, at 31 weeks my midwife measured my bump as too small, I had to go for a growth scan and it turns out baby is on 97th percentile, so I had my last scan 3 weeks ago
I had blood tests for gestational diabetes this week and they came back normal
I've been referred for a scan at 36 weeks, is it normal to have 5 weeks between scans? Last time with my daughter it was every 2 weeks and she wasn't as large as this baby seems to be. I'm booked for c section at 39 weeks but they said they may deliver earlier it baby continues grow at this rate

They wouldn’t make any changes to your current plans if they scanned you again at Week 34, so they’re probably just being conservative of your time and their resources etc. If at 36 weeks baby is big, I imagine your c-section at 39 weeks would still be an ok time, unless really huge in which it might be a bit earlier, but they wouldn’t plan any earlier than 37 weeks so a scan at 36 weeks would be good timing. Your GD test showed it wasn’t because of GD and means they’re eliminating any concerning reasons of a big baby, you’re just growing a big one!
