Placenta previa / C section

Hello,
I'm currently 32+4 weeks and just got my c section date for 8th July due to Grade 4 placenta previa.

I shall be 39+2 Weeks, has anyone with placenta previa delivered this late?
I've not had any issues or bleeding so far. I read that quite few people had there's between 37-39 weeks and didn't know if this sounded too close to my due date. I do have another scan at 36 weeks to double check.
Thanks

Hi Jade - scary times, I know! I had a complete placenta previa diagnosed at 18 weeks with my 3rd when I was 43. Managed to get to 37 weeks before scheduled ELCS. Had to have an MRI scan the day before and steroid injections. I woke up on the morning of the CS bleeding - it was as if my body knew it was 'Go' time! Got to the hospital and had the section. Lost a lot of blood but didn't need a transfusion. Baby was in SCBU for two nights, otherwise fine. The surgeon waved a scalpel at my husband and said 'No more babies!' It didn't stop us having a surprise 4th when I was 46 though! All was well. Good luck, have faith in your body and your team. You will get through this, I promise 🙂
