What baby clothing do I pack for new arrival?

I’m currently 40+1 with my first, and I’m trying to pack the baby’s bag for hospital. My bag is done, but what clothing do I take for the baby? I’m assuming two of everything? It’s not exactly freezing nor is it boiling hot so what type of clothing? I’ve got two blankets/ long sleeved baby grows (with feet)/ hat and mitts, but what else?

Fortunately we live a 5 min drive from the hospital if my partner needs to collect something we’ve forgotten, but I feel like my mind has gone blank trying to pack this bag! We also don’t know what we are having so buying clothing has been kept to an absolute minimum so far. What am I forgetting?!

In addition to newborn size if your baby is likely to be bigger I would maybe take something in 'up to 1 month'. Mine was only in newborn for about 10 days and he was only 7lb 9oz at birth, he was VERY long though, so if your baby is bigger, you might find the same! 0-3 will be massive unless you have a very large baby! Mine is only just outgrowing it now at 3 months! I took way too much but only used nappies, wipes, a thin hat, vests, sleepsuits, muslins and a blanket! Also milk if you are planning to formula feed! Although from what I've heard from friends, hospitals only provide certain formulas, so even if you are planning to breastfeed, if you did have a preference on formula if it was needed, I would take your own (for example I know hospitals don't provide kemdamil, which is what I wanted to use!)
