Higher strength folic acid. Can I take more normal ones for the time being?

Hi, I've been prescribed 5mg folic acid, slightly higher BMI. GP said they sent it but they didn't, long story short they've sent it now but the pharmacy is closed for the weekend. I'll have it by Monday but in the meantime can I just take more of the standard folic acids? I know I have to take like 12 🤣 but they're only tiny hahah I'll deal with it for a day or two! Sorry if it seems like a stupid question!!! Thanks!

I did that, for a few days until the 5mg arrived. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

@Marghogeth amazing thank you! I've just took them now, Felt so wrong taking so many but I've done the maths I'm sure it'll do for the weekend 🤣 thank you so much! X

Same! Didn’t get prescribed high strength until 8 weeks or so so took regular strength (pregnacare) before.
